Real Weddings: Carla and Jon
Today on the blog I am sharing all about Carla + Jon: a couple who, like many others, was affected by the global pandemic in 2020. If you’re new here, HI! it’s great to have you, my name is Karen and I am a Wedding Stationer and Calligrapher in Central FL.
When my friend Stephanie Weber told me the story of this beautiful couple and how their original wedding plans had been affected by Covid-19, I was honored and inspired to create a few pieces for a wedding photography session she put together for the 1-month anniversary of their small wedding. Carla and Jon had amazing plans for their special day. They had booked an amazing venue in SoCal and invited lots of friends and loved ones to attend their wedding. Of course, once things took a left turn, they had to downsize and downscale their celebration and ended up having a much smaller soiree with close family.
They had hired Stephanie to shoot their wedding and when the original plans fell through, being the amazing human being she is, she decided to pamper this bride and groom with a photo session at Balboa Park in San Diego.
I designed a full invitation suite to match their wedding colors and style. The vellum wrap is such a gorgeous, delicate addition to the minimalist invitation and it really takes it to a whole new level of luxury. Add a wax seal stamp and it goes from beautiful, to show-stopping! This wedding invitation is part of our line of semi-custom invitations and works for any season of the year.
