After working with hundreds of couples as a calligrapher over the last 4 years, I have helped answer a lot of questions for Brides, Grooms and future Mothers-in-law. Today I am writing about the most commonly asked questions. If you’re considering hiring a Wedding Calligrapher, read on to learn more!

3. Why should I choose Calligraphy over printed or hand addressed envelopes?

Your wedding day is one of the most special days in your life, and your envelopes are the very first impression your big day will make on your guests. Setting the tone with gorgeous calligraphy addressing ensures they are excited about your wedding from the first day they see your invites in their mailbox. Imagine your guests’ faces lighting up when the see a beautiful calligraphed envelope among the rest of their boring mail! (#happymail).

In a time when everything is digital, receiving a piece of handwritten mail is always a delightful surprise! Seeing an elegant calligraphed envelope will make it clear to your guests just how much they mean to you and how special it will be to have them by your side on your big day. In turn, this will also result in lots of compliments, texts and calls from your guests about how happy they were to receive their invite and how excited they are for your wedding. Give your guests selfie-worthy envelopes and get everyone excited to attend your wedding from day one!

While some stationers offer to print the addresses on your envelopes, hiring an experienced calligrapher, like me, will ensure that proper etiquette is used when addressing your guests’ envelopes. it will also mean crossing off an item on your long to-do list. We know there are a ton of things to get done when planning a wedding, the last thing you need is to have to hand address 100+ envelopes. navy blue envelope calligraphy for bridal shower invitations by fioribelle

 2. How long does it take?

Different weddings have different calligraphy timelines but, on average, please allow for 3-4 weeks for 100+ envelopes. It is always a good idea to reserve your spot on my design calendar early, so please inquire at least 2 months ahead of your expected mailing date (keep in mind that it is customary to mail wedding invitations 6-8 weeks ahead of time, so if you’re getting married in May, you should be hiring your calligrapher in early January)

1. How much should I expect to invest?

You may have guessed it. The most popular question I get from couples and future mothers-in-law is about the investment. On average, a Fioribelle couple can expect to invest around $1,250 to $2,500 on gorgeous Wedding Calligraphy. (this includes guest addressing, return addressing and RSVP envelope calligraphy) Fun Add-ons like Wax Seals and Vintage stamps are also available.yellow wedding envelopes with green calligraphy for a summer wedding by fioribelle

When it comes to weddings, sometimes budgeting for a wedding calligrapher may seem like a luxury, but when you think about how custom calligraphy will help enhance your beautiful wedding invitations and make your guests feel extra special, it is easy to see why so many couples choose to hire a professional calligrapher.
